Every year manufacturers and OEMs within the automotive industry gather at AutoSens Detroit to show-off, contrast and compare the newest, most innovative technologies that are poised to hit the ever-expanding market. OMNIVISION always proves to be at the epicenter of automotive modernization and this year’s showing was no different. In typical form, OMNIVISION’s synergistic efforts were on full display, as its pairing with Valens Semiconductor produced an industry first.
After years of standardized, proprietary, single-source certified analog solutions, the two teams have collaborated to bring OMNIVISION’s X8B, 2.1 MP LFM image sensor and Valens’ ASIL B compliant VA7031 serializer and VA7044 deserializer chips. This collaboration will prove to have an astonishingly positive impact on mission critical and safety critical systems, just when OEMs need it most. Watch OMNIVISION’s Director of Automotive Marketing, Andy Hanvey and Valens’ Director of Automotive System Solutions, Daniel Shwartzberg, disclose all of the details about this dynamic, industry-changing alliance.
