High-Performance OV2735 Provides OEMs With Easy Upgrade Path
BEIJING — October 24, 2016 — OmniVision Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of advanced digital imaging solutions, today announced the OV2735, a high definition (HD) 1080p image sensor for mainstream security and surveillance cameras. The OV2735’s high performance and exceptional image quality mark further advancements in OmniVision’s family of no-compromise full HD image sensors designed for security applications.
The OV2735’s special features and key technical highlights include:
- Support for low power mode
- Stable image quality within operating temperatures from 0-60°C
- Dramatically reduced power consumption

The 1/2.7-inch OV2735 supports:
- 1080p video at 30 frames per second (FPS)
- 720p video at 60 FPS
- RAW image output
- Frame synchronization
The OV2735 is currently available for sampling, and is expected to enter volume production in the first quarter of 2017.
