High Definition (HD) Video Image Sensor

The 1-megapixel OV9710 is the first true high definition (HD) CMOS image sensor that offers 720p or 800p HD video performance at 30 frames per second (fps).

The distinguishing aspect of the OV9710 is OmniVision's proprietary OmniPixel3-HS™ high sensitivity pixel technology. With a 3 x 3 µm pixel and a low light sensitivity of 3.3V per lux-second, the OV9710 enables cameras to operate in virtually every lighting condition from bright daylight to nearly complete darkness. As a result, the OV9710 is ideally suited for a wide variety of markets and applications, including security and surveillance cameras, PC webcams, and digital still camera applications.
