OmniVision leverages its proven OmniBSI™ technology and 12.6-megapixel image sensor to offer complete converge between high-resolution still photography and high-definition (HD) video. By combing DSC/DVC quality still images and 1080p HD video at 60 frames per second (FPS) enhanced with electronic image stabilization (EIS) functions, the OV12825 provides excellent pixel performance for high-end camera phone and smart phone markets.

The OV12825 uses a 1.4-micron OmniBSI pixel architecture to deliver best-in-class sensitivity and industry-leading low-light performance of 650 mV (lux-sec). The OV12825 also features a binning capability designed to further improve sensitivity in 1080p HD mode while providing additional pixels for EIS, a feature uncommon among most 12-megapixel mobile camera solutions currently on the market. The sensor has an active array of 4224 x 3000 OmniBSI pixels operating at 15 FPS in full resolution and is offered with industry standard connectivity including 4-lane MIPI/LVDS and DVP interfaces.
