OmniVision Launches 1/3-Inch 1080p HD Sensor for Mainstream Security Applications

High-Performance OV2735 Provides OEMs With Easy Upgrade Path

BEIJING — October 24, 2016 — OmniVision Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of advanced digital imaging solutions, today announced the OV2735, a high definition (HD) 1080p image sensor for mainstream security and surveillance cameras. The OV2735’s high performance and exceptional image quality mark further advancements in OmniVision’s family of no-compromise full HD image sensors designed for security applications.

The OV2735’s special features and key technical highlights include:
  • Support for low power mode
  • Stable image quality within operating temperatures from 0-60°C
  • Dramatically reduced power consumption

OV2735 Specifications
The 1/2.7-inch OV2735 supports:
  • 1080p video at 30 frames per second (FPS)
  • 720p video at 60 FPS
  • RAW image output
  • Frame synchronization

The OV2735 is currently available for sampling, and is expected to enter volume production in the first quarter of 2017.
